Ego vs. Heart

1-min read

The ego is a force that can steer us away from our true selves. While it’s useful for navigating the world, setting boundaries, and building confidence, the ego often distances and distracts us from our hearts.

How often do we make decisions based on what we think we should do rather than what we know is right? The ego thrives on expectations and obligations, pushing us toward external success and validation. But in reality, it pulls us away from living in alignment with our genuine selves.

Our genuine self, guided by a clear mind and an open heart, knows what truly brings joy and fulfillment. Yet, the ego’s noise can lead us down paths that look good on the outside but feel empty inside.

The key is awareness. Notice when your ego is taking over—when fear, comparison or the need for approval drives you. Pause and ask: What does my genuine self really want? What brings lasting contentment?

By listening to your genuine self, you invite authentic happiness into your life—happiness that isn’t dependent on external achievements but stems from within.

Remember, the ego doesn’t have to lead. Always check in with your heart and find a path to true and satisfying happiness.
